Meet Sebrina

CEO, Owner, and Designer

Hi, my name is Sebrina Walter, I am a wife, mother, U.S. Air Force Veteran, fashion designer, teacher and multi-layered creative. My journey as a fashion designer began at the age of eight. As the founder, and CEO, I am committed to empowering women to embrace their true selves, free from societies unrealistic standards of beauty.

My dedication is personal, I struggled to find clothing that fit my curves like I wanted. I always felt like I needed to lose weight or change some part of me to be an “acceptable size”. I quickly learned that many women felt the same way and like most women do not fit the mold of the typical model. Which is why I create clothing that allows you to feel comfortable in your skin - just as you are. My designs celebrate YOU, the bold, curvy, confident, and unique fashionista because when you are comfortable in your skin you can pursue your dreams and serve others with purpose and passion.

In addition to designing clothes, I serve my local community teaching others the life skill of sewing and creating designs of their own. My vision extends beyond my own success, I aim to inspire young designers to pursue their own dreams in the ever-changing fashion industry.

Sewcially inspired is a testament to my unwavering determination to see you inspired with purpose. I believe we are most like our Creator God when we create with purpose and a Servant heart. What's your passion? That thing you were born to

DO IT!

Bold, Curvy, Confident, and Outgoing:

Where Fashion Meets Empowerment.

Early beginnings (childhood): My love for fashion was ignited walking the streets of NYC in the 80’s and 90’s. Every corner was a runway show full of bold colors, unique designs and personal style. At the age of 8 I carried a sketchbook around with all my original designs. I would swoon over all the ornate dresses and evening attire at every awards show. Little did I know that this passion would become the corner stone of my life’s work.

Struggles and triumphs (adolescence): Growing up in a dysfunctional household was taught that my dreams didn’t matter. I hid the fashion design dream deep in my heart and didn’t pursue it for decades. I navigated my teenage and early adulthood as best as I could by getting good grades and serving my country as a decorated Air Force Airmen.

Establishing Sewcially Inspired (2016): After my military career, in 2009 I entered the corporate world and realized that the clothing was not working for me. I bought a sewing machine and taught myself how to make my own clothes. That childhood dream was ignited again. I faced countless challenges but from perfecting my craft to dealing with self-doubt, each obstacle was a stepping stone to personal and professional growth. In 2016, I took a leap of faith and I founded Sewcially inspired. This marked the beginning of a journey to redefine fashion by championing body positivity and sustainability.

A vision for the future: Looking ahead, my vision is clear, I aim to make Sewcially Inspired a force in the fashion industry. My dream is for every woman to find empowerment through clothing that celebrates their individuality, without the pressure to confirm to narrow standards of beauty. I also want to continue to move the needle forward on sustainable fashion by educating the public on the fashion lifecycle and how the fashion industry impacts the environment.

Greatest achievement (To date): While every step of the journey has been significant, I am honored and humbled to touch so many women and help them discover their personal style and self-expression through my designs. My greatest achievement was being able to achieve my childhood dream of becoming a fashion designer by showcasing and launching my first clothing line at DC Fashion Week In February 2023. It was a labor of love and perseverance after facing so many obstacles to get where I am today – creating a fashion brand that empowers and uplifts.

Have a vision you want to bring to life?

I’d love to help!
